CNC Plasma Operator

Our client is looking for a highly talented CNC Plasma Operator to join our team. You will be a hardworking professional who likes meeting challenges and surpassing expectations. Your responsibilities will include interpreting designs and monitoring machinery for product fabrication.

Responsibilities will include:
Setting up and operating plasma cutting machine according to work order instructions and specifications.
Adjust machine settings, such as cutting speed and pressure, as necessary to produce parts to the required specifications.
Read blueprints and work orders to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, and dimensions of the finished product.
Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, adjusting as necessary to ensure that all parts meet the required specifications.
Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and regulations.
Perform routine maintenance on machines, such as cleaning and lubricating parts, replacing worn or damaged components, and performing minor repairs as necessary.
Troubleshoot problems with machines and make repairs or adjustments as necessary to keep machines running smoothly.
Monitor machine operations and adjust as necessary to ensure that machines are running efficiently and producing high-quality parts.
Record production data, such as quantities produced, time spent on each job, and any quality issues that arise.
Work closely with other members of the production team to ensure that all parts are produced to the required specifications and delivered on time.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:
At least 3+ year’s experience operating CNC Plasma machines.
Full understanding and ability to read drawings and set sliding head CNC machine.
Vocational or technical training in machine operation or related field.
Relevant training in sheet metal fabrication/welding.
At least 5 years welding and fabrication experience in a factory environment.
Highly skilled in multiple metal fabrication disciplines (Welding, milling, lathe work, folding, cutting etc.).
The ability to read engineering drawings and use dimensional measuring equipment to measure fabricated parts.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Ability to manage a team.
